This is my last post from the good old U.S of A till August. I will see if I can sneak on intermittently on my trip to post here.
8:40 flight to O'Hare. 12:20 flight to Newark. 7pm flight to Barcelona and adventure. Emotions right now are running high - mixture of apprehension, excitement, and a tinge of uncertainty. I'm simultaneously sure that I am bringing too much stuff and that I'm forgetting something.

A Brother's Manifesto:
We are often called to to difficult things in trying times.
When Mother has high oil pressure and Father is out with a cold, sometimes we have to take the mail across the Andes to Mendoza.
We understand that often communication can be difficult when people are in Pascagoula, Austin, and South Bend, but extreme circumstances call for extreme responses.
Consequently, we even understand that, for those of us wary of excessive internet communication and social networking services, it may be necessary to be present to one another virtually when being present physically may not be possible.
And so we construct this blog in the spirit of Grandma Braun, who insisted to all family members, that "Christmas Eve is Mine", recalling the spirit of sacrificing unimportant matters for family relationships.
