The alcohol-free weekend has been great here in Austin. The weather has been spectacular - really ideal. [How do you type with accents effectively? And there really isn't an effecitve way to spell-check in multiple languages. I have Firefox spellchecking my Spanish, but it lists all my English words as misspelled!]

We are often called to to difficult things in trying times.
When Mother has high oil pressure and Father is out with a cold, sometimes we have to take the mail across the Andes to Mendoza.
We understand that often communication can be difficult when people are in Pascagoula, Austin, and South Bend, but extreme circumstances call for extreme responses.
Consequently, we even understand that, for those of us wary of excessive internet communication and social networking services, it may be necessary to be present to one another virtually when being present physically may not be possible.
And so we construct this blog in the spirit of Grandma Braun, who insisted to all family members, that "Christmas Eve is Mine", recalling the spirit of sacrificing unimportant matters for family relationships.
